The Church of Ireland St. Patrick's Cathedral is situated in Killala on the main Ballina to Ballycastle road. Although, the church is still in use, most of the graves are over 100 years old and some are over 200 years old. Some of the headstones are quite descriptive, for example, one records that the 22 year old soldier was shot in the 1798 rebellion. A map of the graveyard with an index of surnames is posted in the graveyard. A photograph of the map is shown below.
